X creators help audiences interpret launches, products, research, and market events while the conversation is active. A credible operator, analyst, founder, educator, or community voice can explain why an announcement matters, add evidence, answer objections publicly, and direct interested readers to a measurable next step.
Define the conversation and buyer before selecting an account: topic, expertise, market, decision stage, required proof, and action. Follower count and public view count are not audience-quality measures. Compare recent posts with similar topics and formats using organic impressions, link clicks, replies, reposts, profile clicks, and downstream behavior. Keep promoted results separate from organic delivery.
Connect the product to a current problem, change, workflow, comparison, or market question the audience understands.
Use screenshots, examples, data, demonstrations, and tradeoffs that let readers evaluate the recommendation.
Treat relevant replies and quote posts as evidence about objections, language, product questions, and market fit.
Use X when the campaign benefits from interpretation, expertise, timing, or public discussion. Choose the decision first; it determines the creator, evidence, post format, timing, response plan, and destination.
Explain what changed, who benefits, the problem it solves, availability, limitations, and the action readers can take now. Coordinate creator posts with brand and founder participation.
Show the setup, inputs, process, output, integrations, limitations, and user skill required. Link to a useful demo, documentation page, trial, or example rather than a generic homepage.
Give the creator access to the method and complete findings. Lead with one defensible conclusion, explain its consequence, and let readers inspect the source.
Use a specific decision, mistake, process, or customer lesson. The creator should add independent interpretation, not repeat the founder's announcement.
Use live audio when audience questions improve understanding. Prepare the topic, speakers, moderation, sponsor disclosure, approved claims, recording decision, follow-up posts, and destination.
Publish only when the brand has a legitimate role in the conversation. Add useful context, evidence, or access instead of attaching the product to an unrelated trend.
Do not force a complex product into one short post or stretch a simple announcement into a thread. Select the smallest format that can make the claim, evidence, sponsor relationship, and next action clear.
| X format | Best use | What the content must establish |
|---|---|---|
| Single sponsored post | One clear announcement, use case, opinion, offer, or destination | Audience relevance, creator experience, product role, material limitation, Paid Partnership disclosure, and CTA |
| Thread | Education, walkthrough, comparison, research, or multi-step argument | One purpose per post, complete evidence, readable sequence, disclosure, source links, and final action |
| Quote post or reply | Interpretation, amplification, clarification, or public objection handling | Independent value, relationship disclosure where commercial, factual context, and a reason to enter the source post |
| Image or video demonstration | Product proof, workflow, interface, result, or before-and-after explanation | Legible evidence, test conditions, captions where needed, limitations, disclosure, and destination |
| X Space | Interview, panel, launch discussion, AMA, or expert education | Agenda, qualified speakers, verbal sponsor disclosure, moderation, recording and clipping decisions, and follow-up |
| Multi-post sequence | Launch buildup, repeated proof, objection handling, and campaign learning | A distinct role for each post, publication schedule, response ownership, disclosure, and consistent tracking |
X requires organic posts created for paid partnerships to use the Paid Partnership disclosure. The policy covers payment, gifts, in-kind incentives, affiliate commission, and ambassador agreements, and it restricts eligible industries by market. Confirm category eligibility, disclosure, claims, and applicable advertising law before contracting the creator.
Replace "create buzz on X" with one testable assignment. "Show security leads how the new workflow reduces manual access reviews and drive tracked demo requests" defines the reader, problem, proof, destination, and conversion.
State role, problem, category knowledge, geography, buying stage, product, evidence, objection, offer, and action: read, register, install, trial, subscribe, book, request a demo, or purchase.
Review recent posts with similar topics and formats. Compare organic impressions, link clicks, profile clicks, replies, reposts, and relevant downstream sessions. Exclude promoted, giveaway, and exceptional event outliers.
Define product access, required facts, source material, prohibited claims, disclosure, format, links, review points, brand replies, corrections, analytics, publication, paid usage, identity use, territory, and exclusivity.
Keep the reader, product, offer, destination, and conversion action consistent. Compare expertise and formats, then scale only combinations producing qualified sessions, registrations, trials, demos, subscriptions, or purchases.
Evaluate subject authority, audience relevance, post-level organic performance, public response, sponsor behavior, and commercial reliability separately. Public view counts can include repeat views and the author's own view, so request X Analytics exports and compare recent posts that match the topic and format you intend to buy.
Price the complete assignment, not the follower count. Research, product testing, format, media, thread depth, Space preparation, speakers, revisions, publication, response work, analytics, paid usage, identity, territory, and exclusivity must be scoped separately.
| Deliverable | Base scope | What changes the price |
|---|---|---|
| Sponsored post | One organic post published by the creator | Research, product testing, media, expected relevant impressions, copy review, publication term, response work, and reporting |
| Thread | Connected posts that develop one sponsored argument | Post count, research, screenshots, testing, sources, revisions, link placement, publication, and response management |
| X Space | Live audio hosted or joined by the creator | Preparation, duration, guests, moderation, promotion, recording, clips, follow-up posts, and contingency planning |
| Multi-post campaign | Multiple posts across an agreed campaign period | Deliverable mix, schedule, topic exclusivity, repeated product work, reporting, revisions, and community response |
| Commercial rights | Use beyond the agreed organic creator publication | Promotion, paid spend, edits, raw media, identity and likeness, channels, territory, term, and exclusivity |
Request an itemized quote separating research and creation, organic publication, response work, Space hosting, promotion, other paid usage, raw media, additional revisions, exclusivity, and extensions. A price per impression does not account for expertise, production, conversion quality, or commercial rights by itself.
| Objective | Primary measurement | Diagnostic evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Relevant distribution | Organic impressions among the intended conversation and market | Comparable-post baseline, relevant reposts, replies, quote posts, profile clicks, and organic versus promoted split |
| Evaluation and intent | Qualified link sessions and product-path actions | Link clicks, landing-page engagement, documentation views, pricing visits, replies, and repeat sessions |
| Qualified action | Attributed trials, leads, registrations, installs, bookings, or demo requests | Form completion, activation, attendance, account quality, opportunity acceptance, and sales progression |
| Completed conversion | Attributed purchases, paid subscriptions, attended bookings, or qualified closed sales | Recognized revenue, contract value, refunds, cancellation, retention, service cost, and gross profit |
| Paid creator usage | Cost per completed conversion from promoted creator content | Click-through rate, landing-page conversion, acquisition cost, frequency, audience quality, and creative fatigue |
Calculate ROI only from tracked purchases or closed sales. Subtract refunds, discounts, commissions, product cost, fulfillment, service delivery, and other direct costs to find gross profit. Do not assign revenue to impressions, views, likes, reposts, replies, followers, leads, pipeline, or reusable content.
Example: $20,000 in tracked sales minus $8,000 in fulfillment costs leaves $12,000 gross profit. Subtract a $4,000 campaign cost, divide the remaining $8,000 by $4,000, and multiply by 100. The campaign ROI is 200%.
Do not assign estimated revenue to awareness, leads, pipeline, or reusable content. Report those outcomes separately until they produce tracked sales.
Give each creator and placement a unique tagged link, code, landing page, or campaign identifier and preserve that source through conversion. Set the attribution window before launch, remove refunds and cancellations, and count each transaction once. Report organic conversation, lead quality, and promoted creator-content performance separately from ROI.
